While fans of the San Francisco Giants have delighted in the team’s late signing of Blake Snell, others around the sport are feeling some schadenfreude towards Snell’s agent, the infamous Scott Boras.
Snell is the third of Boras’ four major free agents this offseason to sign a deal significantly below their expected amounts. The fourth, Jordan Montgomery, still remains unsigned. It led some agents to dunk all over Boras in anonymous quotes, like one in a story The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal published Tuesday.
“The Titanic had fewer people thrown overboard than the SS Boras,” one agent quipped to Rosenthal.
