In Vikings news tonight, a mysterious tweet by rehabbing tight end Jermichael Finley could mean a return for the former Packers standout to the NFC North - yet, on the Vikings' side of the field.
The speculation started with this relatively innocuous tweet on Sunday afternoon:
What's Going On In The #TwinCities 2day?
— Jermichael Finley (@JermichaelF88) May 25, 2014
This prompted Dan Zinski of FanSided to ask the all-important question for Vikes fans: "Is it possible that the Vikings could be a landing spot for Finley when/if he is cleared to play? Minnesota currently has Kyle Rudolph as their top pass receiving tight end, and after that things are a little shaky in terms of experience."
Finley has been tweeting out cryptic updates on his condition, speaking of "minor setbacks" for a "#major comeback." He suffered a career-threatening spinal injury in October of last year after a collision with Tashaun Gipson of the Cleveland Browns.
However, Finley seems to be on the upswing...leading some to wonder if his visit to Minneapolis is recreational or business-related.
